Type 8007 - Flow meter for gases with calorimetric measuring principle
Type Description
Type 8007 flowmeters are suitable for particularly large flow rate ranges (up to 12" or DN 300) and operate according to the calorimetric measurement principle. A heated sensor is cooled by the gas flowing around it. The flow-dependent cooling is used as the measured quantity, with the degree of cooling directly dependent on the mass of gas flowing past. This type of mass flow measurement is independent of pressure and temperature. The device can be used to monitor compressed air lines but, with appropriate calibration, is also suitable for other gases. Type 8007 is available in two variants: Standard and Heavy Duty (with robust die-cast electronic-modules housing). In the Heavy Duty variant, the sensor is encapsulated in stainless steel.
